South Bound Train was originally formed in Fort Lauderdale in 2005 by Buddy Mack. Buddy earned recognition in 2007 when he won Guitar Center’s “King of the Blues Contest” for the Southeast region. His success continued in 2009 when he took home the title for all of Florida. Now, Buddy, Martin and Randy bring their unique southern sound to the Hamilton/Burlington area.

South Bound Train is not just your typical blues or Southern rock band. We draw from the full spectrum of southern music, offering a high-energy, party-ready vibe that appeals to audiences of all kinds, both young and old. This Canadian chapter of South Bound Train is the best iteration yet, and we can’t wait to bring our music to your venue.

Our influences include: Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, The Black Crowes, Gov’t Mule, Joe Bonamassa, Blackfoot, Albert King, and many more.
